Roadway Closures

Lambertville-Hopewell Road/Louellen Street
(County Route 518)

On or about Tuesday, May 29, 2018, milling and resurfacing work will begin on Lambertville-Hopewell Road/Louellen Street (County Route 518) from Van Dyke Road to W. Broad Street in the Township/Borough of Hopewell.  Mercer County anticipates that this work will take approximately fifteen (15) working days to complete, weather permitting.  Work will be completed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weekdays only.

Detour

During construction, one direction of travel will be maintained at all times.  Eastbound motorists will be directed to use Van Dyke Road, Hopewell-Pennington Road and Louellen Street.  Only westbound traffic will be permitted on Hopewell-Lambertville Road.  Full, unrestricted access of Hopewell-Lambertville Road would be permitted during non-working hours.

Hightstown Borough/Township of East Windsor
Monmouth Street (County Route 633)

On or about Thursday, May 17, 2018, milling and resurfacing work will begin on Monmouth Street (County Route 633) from North Main Street to NJ Route 33 in the Borough of Hightstown and Township of East Windsor.  Mercer County anticipates that this work will take approximately fifteen (15) working days to complete, weather permitting. Work will be completed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weekdays only.

Detour

During construction, Monmouth Street will be closed to through traffic from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  However, access will be permitted for local businesses and residents. A detour will be posted directing motorists to use Franklin Street (NJ State Route 33) and North Main Street.

Township of Hopewell
Washington-Crossing Road (County Route 546)

On or about Monday, April 30, 2018, milling and resurfacing work will begin on Washington-Crossing Road (County Route 546) from Bear Tavern Road (County Route 579) to River Road (NJ Route 29) in the Township of Hopewell.  Mercer County anticipates that this work will take approximately twenty-one (21) working days to complete, weather permitting.  Work will commence between the hours of  9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weekdays only.

Detour

During construction, one direction of travel will be maintained westbound on Washington-Crossing Road at all times. Work will proceed on the eastbound side of Washington-Crossing Road with motorists directed to use Bear Tavern Road, River Road and Scenic Drive.  A single westbound lane will be maintained on Washington-Crossing Road.

Once the eastbound side is completed, the westbound side of Washington Crossing Road will be milled and paved.  A detour would be posted directing motorists to use River Road, Scenic Drive and Bear Tavern Road.  Full, unrestricted access for both directions of Washington-Crossing Road would be permitted during non-working hours.

Township of Hamilton/City of Trenton
Nottingham Way

On or about Monday, April 2, 2018, Nottingham Way between Mulberry Street and Johnston Avenue will require a full closure in order for Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) to construct electrical service updates.  PSE&G anticipates that this work will be completed on or before April 8, 2018, weather permitting.  

During construction, Nottingham Way between Mulberry Street and North Johnston Avenue will be closed to all traffic on a 24/7 basis.  A detour will be posted directing motorists to use Mulberry Street, Enterprise Avenue, Whitehead Road and East State Street.  A secondary detour will be posted directing motorists to North Clinton Avenue, Olden Avenue and East State Street.  In order to minimize the closure period of Nottingham Way, Mercer County would permit the construction activity to be completed during extended hours.

Bridge Closures

Township of Hopewell
Valley Road Bridge (#211.4) over Moore's Creek

On or about Monday, April 16, 2018, bridge rehabilitation will begin on  the Valley Road Bridge (#211.4) over Moore's Creek, between Pleasant Valley Road and Woodens Lane, in the Township of Hopewell.  This project duration will be approximately one-hundred and twenty (120) calendar days, weather permitting. However, Valley Road will be closed to all traffic on a 24/7 basis.  A detour will be posted directing motorists to use Pleasant Valley Road, Barry Road, County Route 518 (Brunswick Pike) and Woodens Lane. 

Township of Hopewell
Moore's Mill-Mount Rose Bridge (No. 235.5)

On or about Tuesday, May 29, 2018, bridge replacement project will begin on the Moore's Mill-Mount Rose Bridge (No. 235.5) over a Branch of Stony Brook, between Wargo Road and Timerbrook Drive in the Township of Hopewell.  This project duration will be approximately forty (40) working days, weather permitting. Construction will take place from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weekdays only.  However, Moore's Mill-Mount Rose Road will be closed to through traffic on a 24/7 basis.  Motorists are directed to use Pennington-Rocky Hill Road, Titus Mill Road, NJ State Route 31 and Pennington-Hopewell Road.  Additional detour signs will be posted for motorists at Wargo Road.

Township of West Windsor
Cranbury Road Bridge (#762.1) over Bear Brook

On or about Monday, August 21, 2017, complete bridge replacement  will begin on the Cranbury Road Bridge (#762.1) over Bear Brook, between Sunnydale Way and Stobbe Lane, in the Township of West Windsor.  The project duration will be approximately two-hundred and seventy (270) calendar days, weather permitting, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, Cranbury Road (CR615) at the construction site will be closed on a 24/7 basis to all traffic, including cyclists and pedestrians, until completion of the project.

Detour

Motorists will be directed to use Clarksville Road and Princeton-Hightstown Road. However, local access to streets and driveways up to the construction site will be permitted.
